After we finished the Gator Hook trail we still did not see this cypress dome for these beautiful domes you need to go off trail and find your way i think most people that do the trail miss out big time.The characteristic dome shape is created by smaller trees that grow in the shallower waters of the outer edge, while taller trees grow in the deeper water in the interior of the swamp.
